[The filtration "pseudopad"]

Among 10 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma with a filtration "pseudo-cushion" that prevented compensation of intraocular pressure after trabeculectomy, normalization of intraocular pressure by means of medicamentous treatment (thymolol) could be achieved in 1 patient; in the rest of the patients surgical intervention was required. It is stated that the most effective is early surgical intervention: dissection of the Tenon's capsule "cyst" and resection of the episclera in the zone of the primary surgery.
