Micro-plasma sprayed (MPS) calcium phosphate (CaP) coatings on titanium implants show a favorable bone response when loaded, similar to conventional plasma-sprayed (PS) coatings. Both MPS and PS CaP coatings may enhance crestal bone maintenance compared to non-coated implants.
