TNF-α in CRPS and 'normal' trauma--significant differences between tissue and serum

Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) is elevated in the skin of patients with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and acute fractures, but not systemically. This localized increase suggests targeted therapies for post-traumatic pain.
