Abstract:
In 1989, public selection of a team of four astronauts for the Anglo-Soviet Juno space mission took place. In this article, the author, a Navy Medical Officer, relates his experiences of taking part and discusses the rationale behind the exhaustive protocol of medical investigations involved.
