Pulmonary involvement in tuberous sclerosis (pTS) is rare and may indicate a milder disease course. This case highlights the overlap between tuberous sclerosis, pTS, and lymphangiomyomatosis (LAM).

Background:

Tuberous sclerosis (TS) is a genetic disorder causing benign tumors in various organs.
Pulmonary involvement (pTS) is uncommon in TS and often associated with lymphangiomyomatosis (LAM).

A 33-year-old woman presented with overlapping manifestations of TS, pTS, and LAM.
The patient's condition demonstrated the complex interplay between these conditions.

Findings:

The co-occurrence of TS, pTS, and LAM was confirmed in this case.
Pulmonary tuberous sclerosis appears to have a distinct clinical course compared to TS without lung involvement.
