Microbes responsible for acute exacerbation of COPD

Gram-negative bacteria, particularly Pseudomonas and Klebsiella, are frequently found in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). These microbes play a significant role in causing acute exacerbations of COPD.

- Targeting these common pathogens may improve management of COPD exacerbations.
