Antimicrobial activity of sodium hypochlorite-based irrigating solutions

Conventional sodium hypochlorite solutions demonstrate superior antimicrobial efficacy compared to newer formulations with added enzymes, surfactants, or silicate. These findings are crucial for selecting effective endodontic irrigants.
