Unilateral cerebellar hypoplasia (UCH) involves cerebellar volume loss. Findings suggest a prenatal disruption, not a primary malformation, is the likely cause of UCH.

- Further research into prenatal insults is warranted to fully understand UCH etiopathogenesis.
