  • Higher risk in reoperations (29.9%) vs. primary (9.2%), with intravitreal triamcinolone (35.3%) vs. none (10.3%), and in pseudophakic (15.6%) or combined surgery (25.0%) eyes vs. phakic (6.7%).
  • Conclusions:

    • Transient hypotony is a common occurrence after 25-gauge vitrectomy.
    • Tamponade, reoperation, lens status, and triamcinolone use significantly influence hypotony risk.
    • While hypotony typically resolves spontaneously, strategies to mitigate its risk are needed to enhance surgical safety.
