Summary

A rare intravascular bronchoalveolar tumor caused lung and liver nodules in a young woman. Diagnosis required open pulmonary biopsy and laparoscopy, confirming widespread disease.

  • Imaging revealed multiple bilateral pulmonary nodules and hepatic nodules.

  • Open pulmonary biopsy confirmed intravascular bronchoalveolar tumor.
  • Laparoscopy and biopsy confirmed liver involvement.

Implications:

  • This case highlights the potential for IVBAT to present with extrathoracic metastases.
  • Early diagnosis and understanding of IVBAT behavior are crucial for patient management.
