[Selected cases of oral mucosa carcinomas]

The clinical picture and methods of surgical treatment are described in three cases of oral carcinoma with different sites of origin (buccal mucosa, alveolar process mucosa of the maxilla, and mucosa of the mandibular alveolar process and oral floor). After a survey of the pertinent literature and in the light of the presented cases attention is called to the need for one-stage surgical reconstruction of the tissue defect and simultaneous or early prosthetic rehabilitation.
