Objective:
To establish a method for the determination of andrographolide bulk drug by HPLC.
Method:
The condition of HPLC was Diamonsil C18 (2) column (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 microm) with methanol-water (60:40) as a mobile phase. The flow rate was 1.0 mL x min(-1) and the detection wavelength was 235 nm.
Result:
The standard curve was linear in the range of 0.5-5.0 microg and the correlation coefficient was 1.000. The average recoveries of the low, middle and high concentrations were 99.1%, 99.5% and 100.8%, respectively.
Conclusion:
The method is simple, precise and accurate, and it can be used for the quality control of andrographolide bulk drug.
