Laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) and laser subepithelial keratomileusis (LASEK) offer comparable visual outcomes as a second surgery after initial LASIK failure. While initial recovery may favor LASIK, long-term results show no significant differences in visual acuity or refractive error.
