Deconstructing theory of mind in schizophrenia

Theory of Mind (ToM) abilities in schizophrenia are not strictly hierarchical. Some individuals with schizophrenia can understand complex intentions (second-order ToM) even if they struggle with simpler ones (first-order ToM).
