Dermatomyositis (DM) and autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) can coexist, primarily affecting women. Routine thyroid function tests and comorbidity screening are recommended for DM patients with AIT, with combined corticosteroid and levothyroxine treatment showing potential utility.
