Oxidative stress-induced endothelial cell damage in thyroidectomized rat

Hypothyroidism increases atherosclerosis risk by impairing nitric oxide production and increasing oxidative stress. This study found hypothyroid rats showed endothelial dysfunction and early atherosclerosis, confirming the link.
