Background:

Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a primary immunodeficiency characterized by decreased immunoglobulin production.
Vitiligo is a chronic autoimmune condition causing depigmentation of the skin.

Observation:

Three adult patients with non-segmental vitiligo and primary CVID were analyzed.
Two patients also presented with psoriasis, and family histories of vitiligo and psoriasis were noted.
Disease onset varied, with cutaneous involvement ranging from 2% to 12.3%, and stress as a potential trigger.

Findings:

CVID onset preceded vitiligo in two patients; vitiligo onset preceded CVID in one.
Koebner phenomenon and pruritus were observed in two patients, with one exhibiting scalp leukotrikia.
Immunoglobulin replacement therapy did not impact the course of vitiligo in the observed cases.

Implications:

This case series highlights a potential association between non-segmental vitiligo and primary CVID.
Further research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms connecting these conditions.
Understanding this association may inform diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for patients with co-occurring vitiligo and CVID.
