Laparoscopic adrenalectomy: Gaining experience by graded approach.

Background:

• Laparoscopic adrenalectomy (LA) is the gold standard for managing adrenal disorders.
• The first LA was reported in 1992, but no series from India was available until this study.

Purpose of the Study:

• To report the initial experience and outcomes of laparoscopic adrenalectomy in India.
• To evaluate the feasibility and safety of a graded approach to LA.

• 34 laparoscopic adrenalectomies were performed between February 2001 and March 2006.
