Does a chitosan-containing dentifrice prevent demineralization around orthodontic brackets?

Chitosan-containing toothpaste significantly reduced enamel demineralization around orthodontic brackets compared to nonfluoridated toothpaste. This finding suggests a potential benefit for patients with poor oral hygiene.
