Dapsone-induced methemoglobinemia: a dose-related occurrence?

Higher dapsone doses increase methemoglobinemia risk in pediatric oncology patients receiving it for Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) prophylaxis. Cytochrome b5 reductase enzyme activity did not influence this risk.
