Methotrexate (MTX) combination therapy with other disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) or biologics is effective for rheumatoid arthritis. Combining MTX with specific DMARDs or biologics offers comparable or improved efficacy and safety over monotherapy.
