  • Whole-body gallium-67 imaging suggested an intra-abdominal process mimicking bowel involvement.
  • SPECT/CT and contrast-enhanced CT precisely localized a low-density mass with peripheral enhancement beneath the abdominal wall.
  • The mass was confirmed as a deep abdominal abscess.

  • This case highlights the importance of advanced imaging techniques like SPECT/CT and contrast-enhanced CT in diagnosing deep abdominal abscesses in peritoneal dialysis patients.
