Frontal lobe epilepsy (FLE) is associated with brain microstructural changes, particularly in the frontal lobe and thalamus. These alterations correlate with cognitive deficits and disease duration in patients.

  • Longer epilepsy duration may lead to increased thalamic abnormalities.
  • White matter integrity in the left frontal lobe and thalamus are associated with cognitive impairment in FLE.
