Summary
Two feline thymoma cases showed unusual amyloid deposition. This amyloid, produced by neoplastic epithelial cells, was identified as non-AA amyloid.

Background:

- The amyloid retained its Congo red affinity after potassium permanganate treatment, suggesting a non-serum amyloid A (non-AA) type.
- Neoplastic epithelial cells were immunoreactive for pancytokeratin, supporting an epithelial origin.

- This study highlights an unusual presentation of feline thymoma with intratumoral amyloid.
- The findings suggest that neoplastic epithelial cells in feline thymoma can produce amyloid.
