Spin interference and the Fano effect in electron transport through a mesoscopic ring side-coupled with a quantum dot

We studied electron transport in a mesoscopic ring coupled to a quantum dot with Rashba spin-orbit interaction. Fano resonance and spin interference effects control electron transport, enabling tunable spin-polarized currents.
