Abstract:
We report a patient with multiple inflammatory reactions to Dacron vascular grafts, simulating infection. A CT-scanning showed dense fibrous tissue surrounding the grafts, with a pseudotumoral aspect and liquification. Ultimately, the Dacron grafts were replaced with polytetrafluoroethylene grafts. The inflammatory reactions subsided quickly and did not recur for a follow-up period of more than two years.
