[Detection of patients with urogenital tuberculosis and their follow-up]

Since 1980 a bacteriological method of identifying patients with genitourinary tuberculosis has been widely used in the Kuibyshev region. The analysis of the above identification indicator demonstrates its decrease during the last 2 or 3 years. Though there exists a worked-out system of identifying genitourinary tuberculosis, the proportion of patients with tuberculosis of the given site, compared to the group of persons with active forms of the disease, is on the fall. In the last 5 years there has been an increase in the proportion of subjects cured from tuberculosis, bacteria excretors and migrants among those suffering from genitourinary tuberculosis.
