Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the immunophenotypic alterations associated with EMT in endocervical adenocarcinoma.
  • To correlate these EMT-related changes with tumor morphology and growth patterns.
  • To explore the potential role of EMT in the pathogenesis of endocervical neoplasms.

Main Methods:

  • Immunohistochemical analysis of 27 endocervical adenocarcinomas using markers for vimentin, cyclin D1, E-cadherin, beta-catenin, p16, and cytokeratin 7.
