Pre-emptive angioaccess for haemodialysis in the elderly

Elderly patients aged 80 and over can successfully undergo first dialysis via pre-emptive angioaccess, with comparable outcomes to younger groups. This indicates age is not a barrier to successful vascular access for hemodialysis.
