Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) patients show altered brain structure volumes, particularly in the orbito-frontal cortex (OFC) and thalamus, influenced by 5-HTT gene variations. These genetic effects are more pronounced in OCD patients than in healthy individuals.
