Sonographic twinkling artifact for renal calculus detection: correlation with CT

Sonographic twinkling artifact in the kidneys shows a high false-positive rate and is not sensitive for detecting kidney stones (nephrolithiasis). Further investigation is needed for reliable diagnosis.
