This case study details a rare bilateral Morgagni hernia in a 68-year-old male, successfully repaired using a transabdominal approach. The patient experienced a full recovery with no recurrence after 15 months.

  • Diagnosis confirmed via chest radiograph and CT scan.
  • Large right-sided defect with colon and omentum, smaller left-sided defect identified.

Findings:

  • Successful elective surgical repair via transabdominal approach.
  • Primary closure of both diaphragmatic defects using nylon sutures.
  • No mesh required for defect repair.
