The aim of the study was to evaluate dislypidemias as risk factor in the countryside.
Material And Method:
There have been evaluated 413 patients from the countryside (Jorăşti, Galaţi County), in the period 2008-2010. There was performed history taking, physical examination, an ECG and biological findings (glycemia, colesterolemia, HDL-colesterolemia, trygliceridemia, creatinenemia).
Results:
In these patients there was noticed a higher prevalence of the dislypidemias in women (65.7%) than in men (50.29%). Both dislypidemias and hypertension were more frequent in patients with cardiovascular disease or in those with high risk of cardiovascular disease than in those with a small or absent risk both in men and in women. In 208 cases there have been present all the elements of the metabolic syndrome.
Conclusions:
The modifiable risk factors have a very important part in the development of cardiovascular diseases in the countryside. Using proper programmes of prophylaxis there can be hope for a decrease of the morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular disease.
