Transumbilical single-incision laparoscopic hepatectomy: an initial report.

• A subsequent cholecystectomy was performed during the same surgical session.

Findings:

• The combined procedure was completed in 155 minutes with minimal blood loss (100 ml).
• No intraoperative or postoperative complications were observed.
• The patient experienced a good cosmetic outcome and a rapid recovery period.

Implications:

• Single-incision laparoscopic surgery is a viable and safe approach for complex hepatobiliary procedures.
