Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate pressor hormones (norepinephrine, epinephrine, vasopressin) and platelet alpha 2-adrenergic receptors in elderly, unmedicated subjects.

  • Recruited 87 elderly subjects (70 +/- 5 years), categorized by race (white/black) and hypertension status.
