Summary

Even mild psoriasis may increase cardiovascular risk. Patients with mild-to-moderate psoriasis showed elevated cardiovascular risk factors, suggesting a systemic inflammatory component and potential long-term heart disease risk.

    Conclusions:

    • Mild-to-moderate psoriasis may function as a systemic inflammatory disease.
    • Patients with mild-to-moderate psoriasis demonstrate increased cardiovascular risk factors.
    • Long-term cardiovascular morbidity risk may be present even in milder cases of psoriasis.
