Reflections on the nature of lung cancer

This case exemplifies the deceptive nature of some lung cancers and emphasizes the importance of necropsy in proper death certification. I conclude that like some breast cancers, many lung cancers seem to be disseminated from inception, and more conservative surgical management in selected cases may improve the quality of life.
