Aphasia in border-zone infarcts has a specific initial pattern and good long-term prognosis

Border-zone infarcts (BZI) can cause aphasia. This study found a specific early pattern of transcortical mixed aphasia in BZI patients, with rapid improvement and full language recovery within 18 months.
