Central Somatostatin Inhibits Cholecystokinin-lnduced Oxytocin Secretion in Conscious Rats

Somatostatin-28 (SS-28) inhibits oxytocin (OT) release stimulated by cholecystokinin in rats. Central SS-28 also increases food intake, suggesting a role in ingestive behaviors.
