Perinatal mortality in eastern Uganda: a community based prospective cohort study.

Reducing neonatal mortality is key to child survival. In Eastern Uganda, stillbirth and early neonatal mortality risks were high, with home births and lack of bed nets significantly increasing perinatal death risk.

- Bed net use is critical for preventing perinatal deaths.
