Abstract:
In the title compound, [Zn(C(9)H(7)O(2)S)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O, the Zn(II) atom (site symmetry ) is four-coordinated by two O atoms from 3-(2-sulfanylphen-yl)prop-2-enoate anions and two aqua O atoms in a slightly distorted ZnO(4) square-planar arrangement. In the crystal, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds help to establish the packing.
