Abstract:
In the title compound, [Cd(C(2)N(3))(2)(C(3)H(7)NO)(2)], the Cd(2+) ion lies on an inversion center and adopts an octa-hedral coordination geometry, in which four N atoms from four different dicyanamide ligands lie in the equatorial plane and two dimethyl-formamide O atoms occupy the axial positions. The Cd atoms are connected by two dicyanamide ligands, resulting in a neutral chain propagating parallel to [010].
