Abstract:
The title compound, C(31)H(38)N(2), was prepared from bis-(4-amino-cyclo-hexyl)methane and two equivalents of cinnamaldehyde. The cyclo-hexyl groups each show a chair conformation and the α,β-unsaturated imine side chains are all-trans configured. Two mol-ecules of the title compound as well as two trichloromethane solvent mol-ecules are present in the asymmetric unit. The solvent mol-ecules inter-act with the diimines via weak C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.
