  • To establish normative values for five distinct eustachian tube function (ETF) test protocols.
  • To provide a reference dataset for adults without current or recent otitis media (OM).
  • To facilitate comparison of ETF test results between healthy individuals and those with OM.

  • Twenty adult participants (19-48 years) without recent OM history were enrolled.
  • Unilateral myringotomy was performed to facilitate testing.
  • Five ETF tests were administered: forced response, inflation, deflation, forcible 'sniff', and Valsalva, with some repeated for reliability.
