Abstract:
In the title complex, [Ni(C(27)H(27)N(7))(C(3)H(7)NO)(H(2)O)](C(6)H(2)N(3)O(7))(2), the Ni(II) ion is coordinated in a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination evironment by an NiN(4)O(2) ligand set. The tris-(N-methyl-benzimidazol-2-ylmeth-yl)amine ligand is in a tetra-dentate mode while a coordinated water molecule and a dimethyl-formamide ligand complete the coordination. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the cation and one of the pictrate anions into four-component centrosymmetric clusters.
