Recombinant activated factor VII increases stroke in cardiac surgery: a meta-analysis

Recombinant activated factor VII (rFVIIa) use in cardiac surgery significantly increased stroke risk. While it showed a trend toward reducing re-exploration, routine use is not recommended, but it may be considered for severe bleeding.
