Background:

Jorge Lobo's Disease (JLD) is a chronic fungal infection caused by Lacazia loboi.
It typically manifests as keloid-like cutaneous lesions, predominantly on extremities and ears.

Observation:

A rare case of labial JLD is presented in a male patient.
The lesion, located on the vermillion border of the upper lip, was a papulonodular growth with a 10-year history.

Findings:

Surgical resection was performed for the labial lesion.
The patient experienced no recurrence of the Jorge Lobo's Disease lesion during an eight-year follow-up period.

Implications:

This case highlights the possibility of JLD affecting the lip, a site rarely reported.
Successful surgical management is demonstrated for this unusual presentation of fungal mycosis.
