Pigmented spindle cell naevus of Reed: a controversial diagnostic entity in Australia

Background:

• Only 33% of respondents correctly diagnosed the lesion as PSCN.
• Despite diagnostic difficulties, 84.6% of trainees indicated they would biopsy the lesion.
• Of those planning a biopsy, 91% preferred an excisional approach.
