Hearing voices: a role of interhemispheric auditory connectivity?

Structural connectivity in schizophrenia may involve the interhemispheric auditory pathway. Patients with auditory verbal hallucinations (AVH) showed altered fibre integrity in this pathway, suggesting its role in AVH pathogenesis.
