Migraine patients exhibit impaired saccadic eye movement control, particularly in inhibitory functions. This suggests executive dysfunction in brain regions like the prefrontal cortex.

Increased intra-individual latency variation was observed in migraine patients for pro-saccade paradigms.

Migraine patients on prophylactic therapy made more anti-saccade errors, indicating impaired inhibitory control.

Conclusions:

Migraine patients exhibit deficient inhibitory saccadic control.
This dysfunction may reflect executive deficits in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex or cingulate cortex.
